Openings in my
Teaching Schedule are beginning to fill up
Tuning the Air played its last show in December. A little sad, in some respects. But one thing that it meant was that my Monday and Thursday evenings suddenly become available. They have started to fill up, but there are slots still available. So, if you or someone you know have been considering guitar lessons, now would be a very good time.
Seattle Circle Guitar School

Session 2: July 9-13, 10am-1pm daily

Want to give your kids a special opportunity to play, write and learn music with other kids? Enroll now in the SCGS Summer Guitar Circle program! Kids will:
· Create their own music
· Learn fundamental guitar techniques
· Build musical skills
· Build group skills
The Guitar Circle embodies a new approach to guitar instruction and music-making as developed over 25 years in Guitar Craft, which was founded in 1985 by Robert Fripp. Our instructors have been part of this program since its beginning. The SCGS is in its third year of presenting classes in the Seattle Public Schools, as part of before and after-school programs, and as summer enrichment.
Classes will be held at the Seattle Creative Arts Center in Ballard, and are open to kids ages 8 and up, with any level of prior experience on guitar. Registration for either session is open until June 15. Guitars are available (on-site use only) for children who don’t have their own.

“I wish I had had the opportunity to play this way when I was a child…they are learning how to play cooperatively, listen carefully, and have fun playing together!”
Marian Wagner, 3rd grade teacher, Salmon Bay School
Mission Statement: The Seattle Circle Guitar School is a nonprofit music school devoted to opening the door to the creative process for children and adults, regardless of previous training or experience. Our approach emerges from the knowledge that learning to play music together contains endless possibilities for growth, and that the experience gained through this process develops skills that are essential.
